Think back to when you got sick when you were a kid. Did you enjoy taking medicine in the little cup to help you get rid of the sniffles? Probably not! Even the mild over-the-counter medications tasted horrible, which made getting medicine down even more difficult when you were sick the next time.
Let’s face fact: The taste of most medicine is bitter, bordering on disgusting. Kids aren’t the only ones who find taking medicine difficult; it’s a challenge for many adults as well.
Recently, U.S. News & World Report published a list of the 100 best jobs in the country. The survey measured qualities such as employment opportunity, good salary, manageable work-life balance and job security.
Of the 100 best jobs, nearly 40% can be found in the health care industry. Phlebotomist ranked No. 10 and medical assistant ranked No. 24 of the “50 Best Health Care Jobs.”
Career outlook for medical assistants
