At our North Oklahoma City vocational school, you can learn the skills you need to make a difference in the lives of others. You can choose a program in Healthcare and Wellness, giving you the opportunity to embark on a career in the healthcare industry, or you can learn the skills you need to become a chef which will let you brighten people’s lives with your culinary skills in our Culinary Arts program

Healthcare and Wellness

  • Dental Assistingbecome a dentist’s second pair of hands by learning the skills needed to become a qualified and experienced dental assistant. You can learn both clinical and administrative skills that are valued in a dental office such as cleaning tools; assisting the dentist during exams; taking x-rays, and keeping patient records up-to-date.
  • Medical Assisting – as a crucial member of the healthcare team, you can embark on an exciting career when you train to become a Medical Assistant. You can learn how to manage medical records, take the patient’s vitals, draw blood, and prepare your patients to see the doctor.

Both of these programs include an externship in a dental or medical office to ensure you receive the hands-on training and skills necessary to succeed in today’s job market.

Culinary

  • Culinary Artsstudents who enjoy cooking and creating culinary works of art can learn the skills they need to enter the foodservice industry. Under the guidance of our professional chefs, you can learn:  how to blend new and traditional preparation techniques to create dishes; discover cooking methods to create a variety of international cuisine; and receive training in preparation, cooking and menu management. This program includes an externship at local restaurants.
